SOFTWARE TRAINING

This is a multi-disciplined training facility offering the communications industry, software training and career advancement services.

Working in partnership with Adobe as a Certified Training Provider, Equatorial Skills ensures that our clients are kept ahead of the pack when it comes to software knowledge and skill.

We develop customised training covering everything from hands-on workshops through to software and job skill programmes. The training specifically deals with the issues of workflow production, workflow analysis and digital output.

Session Times: Our session's range from 4 to 6 hours, conducted either on site or within The I Group's training facility. These shorter programmes are to assist the participants in retaining information and to fast track these new skills once back in their own environment.

Optimisation Programme: The Career Advancement Service enables a complete, pro-active, consultative approach to up-skilling and business solutions. Our optimisation programmes following all training ensure outstanding results. Our team of trainers instigate a follow-up 8 week programme with all participants - reports are distributed to both the individuals and line manager. This ensures that all parties are achieving specified KPI's and final outcomes.

The i Group believes that successful training is not only achieved in the classroom but more importantly, in the studio. Our total training programme has been developed with this firmly in mind.

Digital Workflow Audits and Change Management: Most organisations do a relatively good job of deciding what must be done to solve their problems or exploit their opportunities. The difficulty lies in effective implementation. This could take the format of a greater understanding of internal production processes - translating to Acrobat training for clients or account service staff; the implementation of "real-time" systems between creatives and studio staff - enabling both to view and amend work more efficiently; or perhaps a customised digital worflow programme for the production/studio team.

Retention & How To Optimise Your Training: We recognise that computer training is expensive with most individuals retaining less than 50% by the end of the following week.. Our E-learning tutorials conducted over an 8 week period after you have completed training will ensure that 50% "memory loss" is significantly decreased.

Please direct all enquiries regarding in-house or one-on-one training to Meredith Coleman or Margaret Kirby Course fees must be paid in full a minimum of 7 days prior to commencement of course, account customers excluded (a PO is required).Please choose your course carefully as we cannot refund your course fee after processing. Changes must be submitted in writing (email). The i Group Trainers reserve the right to alter any of the published arrangements, either before or during a course, or to cancel or terminate a Course. What programs do The i Group train in?

Our training covers all areas of design and production applications for both the Print and Web areas. As an Adobe Certified Training Provider our training covers all Adobe products including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and the Web applications.

Our pre-press training covers a thorough up-skill in digital workflow including Acrobat training. This particular course is also offered to non-studio members to assist in the transportation of artwork through their design or ad agency system.

We also offer marketing, client service executive project management and spreadsheet up-skilling.

Basically, just ask us - if you can't see it here on our site that doesn't mean we don't or won't assist in getting you the very best trainer for your needs.

Where is the training held?

Either on site (which could be your home, if you prefer) or at The i Group training facilities in Clarence Street, Sydney.

How do I find out about a session time that suits?

Please note that we endeavour to tailor each training session to the skill level of the participants. Therefore we ask that you fill in the Skills Assessment Sheet and email it to us. This way you will be in a class with others at a similar skill level, to maximise the benefits of training.

How many in a class?

Up to 6 per course. This allows each individual a greater opportunity to interact with the trainer.

One to one training is also available. These sessions can be arranged at your convenience.

Do I Need My Own Equipment?

No, we cater for both Mac & PC users.

Who Does the Training?

All The I Group trainers have obtained ACE status. This is the highest level a Trainer can obtain through the Adobe network. Added to that all our trainers have a minimum of 10 years hands-on industry experience. Most are still working as either designers, production, pre-press or web experts right now. For those participating in training through Equatorial Skills this is undoubtedly the only effective way to truly maximise the training experience.

What If I'm not enjoying The Training?

Talk to us within the first 4 hours and we will either move you to another session time or provide you with a 75% refund.

Do I Get A Certificate/Recognised Award?

Our training can, if it is the desire of the participants, take you to ACE certification. This Adobe certification is recognised globally and represents the highest level of software skill currently available.

Is the training tax deductible?

Yes it is, as long as the course is directly related to your current occupation.
